Dates by Month on X-Axis in Horizontal Stacked Bar Chart

First you will need to use a 2d chart rather than 3d.

Add another series and plot as column. Set the category values for this to be dates and then the secondary x axis will allow you to set Major unit as dates.

For the example I have left all the axes visible.
