How to display several overlapping bands?

Hi,

I need to plot several overlapping bands.

Something like in example 1.

But I would like to have all the band visible and filled with a semitransparent color.
I also found example 2. Looks complicated but it's a simple stacked area chart with the bands simulated using primary and secondary axis and transparent lower area. Nice idea, but works just for 2 bands - I would like to have at least 4 of them.

See the attachment for what I've made based on example 2 so far.
