    Date Error in Pivot Table

    Hi All

    See the attached - can anyone explain to me why some dates are showing as really long numbers? I've tried formatting them to date, tried removing time stamps, so it just looks like dd:mm:yyyy , no matter what I try they just keep appearing!

    Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated

    Hi techteam,

    After working on this a while it looks like Excel can't deal with a 5 digit year. Do this to prove it to yourself.
    In A1 put = Date(9999,12,31) and then add 1 day to it. You will get those "long dates"

    I guess by that year we won't care if it works or not.

    @dilipandey,

    You had a bad guess. If you look at the picture in the above attached the cursor is on one of those dates and the value in the formula bar is positive. Check and confirm my assumption.
