Automate data on chart as per example

    Hi,

I'm wondering if someone can help.

In the attached file, I'd like to keep creating a chart for every day listed in column A based on how the existing 2 charts are set up.

To do so, it will need to take the next day's DateTimeIn and DateTimeOut and fill these into the data for the chart and then increase the min and max range of the chart by 1 (i.e. to show the next day on Y axis)

Note that for the Out variable, it needs to still break it at the same point as the In variable, i.e. follow column A, not column D so that there is a matching pair for each entry.

Would be great if you could also title each chart according to the DayWeek variable + Date (Thu, 01 Dec 2011) for instance.

Charts for weekends are not needed (Sat, Sun) but can be done if you like

    Hi Dip11,
    TimeTableRevised.xlsx

See the attachment where I have used the dynamic name (timein, timeout) referenced with date as highlighted in yellow cell...
These names are there in first chart as a data source.
Hope this will give you some idea.. thanks.

    Hi DILIPandey,

While the UDF will update the data range, it does not update the chart title (minor thing) and the Y axis (quite major, as you can't see the data).

Also, I'm not sure, but I think I have to create 2 new UDFs for every chart? In which case I would be better off just doing it manually?

Thanks for any help you can offer.

    Hi Dip11,

I guess by UDF you mean dynamic name... as you can see that this is driven by yellow cell, you just need to take care of that piece... thanks.

    Hi DILIPandey,

Yes sorry, my mistake, I meant Dynamic Name. I get mixed up a lot!
I know about the yellow cell, but as far as I can tell, dragging it down the column doesn't create new graphs and changing the value of the yellow cell does not update the axis ranges, which is a rather big problem for me (They are set as "fixed" because I need the gridlines at specific intervals)
