Hello,
for a chart like the first image, create a line chart off the data and format the lines accordingly.
To achieve a chart like in the second image, you should have a look at Jon Peltier's Panel Charts http://peltiertech.com/Excel/ChartsH...venScales.html
You will need to re-arrange your data to create charts like these, but Jon's articles have everything you need.
cheers,
Thanks so much for your prompt reply! Im trying to help my brother with his homework and he coudln't figure it out so now he gave up and went to sleep. I work night shift and am on night off so I said I'll try it out over nigth.
If I format the lines however the problem I get is multiple entries in the legend like "Tap Water HCl" and "Tap Water NaOH" rather than just "Tap Water"![]()
Create the chart, with the data in A2 to I6. Apply the colors and the dash style as desired.
Then use the Select Data dialog and edit the data source for the first and third series. Change the Series name to A3 for tap water and A5 for liver.
Click the legend, then click the second item in the legend and hit the delete key. Click the last legend item and hit the delete key.
The result is attached.
cheers,
