XY scatter chart starts with Jan-00

I created an XY scattered chart with dates/months as X values. my data set starts from Sep11 but on the chart it goes back to Jan-00. I know that it might be linked to formatting of the cells so I have checked it and seems to be ok. I also know that I can manage it by setting scales to non-auto but I need it to be auto.

Are you sure your dates are ture date values and not text?

they are actually results of a formula =EOMONTH($B$4,A361) which as I understand should give the last day of a month

    Thanks, Andy.
as you can see on the chart the data set is displayed in non-efficient way, where the data starts in august-11 but chart goes back to Jan-00. in this shpreadsheet i have simplified the date/month column replacing the formula with just values, but the problem still is there. I need it to be set auto-scaling but starting at sometime closer to the time of actual data, as it usually is done.
    thanks again

Unfortunately for you the auto value just happens to calculate the min to be zero.

You can, as you have dates, use a Line chart type.
