Bars on Chart Display are Wrong

Hi all,
So here I am working away at finalizing a survey for this charting tool I have created. I opened my tool to give it one last check before I send it to 6 co-workers to get their impressions on it. Everything has been working well with it but this morning, when I picked the bars option to display bars on one graph, all of the bars are so narrow that they look like one (I had 5 series' selected). Can anyone tell me why? I've attached the version I will be sending around but if you know of some way that I can program the bars to be a certain width, I would like that. Thanks.

Thin columns normally indicates a category axis is being plotted as dates.
Set the axis to be Text rather than Automatic, via the Chart Options dialog.

Thanks Andy, the x axis was set to Automatic but where is the option for Text? I have 3 options, Automatic, Category, and Time-scale.

Use Category.

Text is the xl2007 term.
