Excel 2007 Copy-Paste One Chart Onto Another

I recently upgraded from Excel 2003 to Excel 2007.
In 2003, I was able to have two separate charts of similar XY data, each with its own format (e.g. Chart 1 all series red lines, Chart 2 all series blue lines), copy one chart and paste onto the other, with the overall chart format coming from the copied chart, but with the series format for each chart remaining the same.

Now, in 2007, I have macros to make all the data series in a particular chart look the same, but when I copy-paste an "all red" chart onto an "all blue" chart, the "all blue" series reverts to default Excel formats.

I attached an example file here, including a goal chart that was plotted in 2003.

Any help would be appreciated.
