    Gantt Chart

    hello ...

    I have around 60K lines of input with the product name day and time that they were produced and day and time that they were sold. Is it possible to create a view with all these data in a gantt chart format (i gues) ...

    input exemple:
    producta 2010-01-01 10:00:00 2010-01-02 12:00:00
    productb 2010-01-02 11:00:00 2010-01-05 13:00:00
    productc 2010-01-03 12:00:00 2010-01-03 02:00:00
    productd 2010-01-02 15:00:00 2010-01-04 10:00:00
    producte 2010-01-03 12:00:00 2010-01-06 19:00:00
    productf 2010-01-04 12:00:00 2010-01-05 17:00:00

    output exemple:

    01 02 03 04 05 06 07
    producta ----->
    productb ------------->
    productc ------------->

    is it possible to do this with Excel 2k3, 2k7 or 2010 ? or is there any software or add on for this ??

    Here's a sample using conditional formatting to color cells by matching dates.

    Re: Gantt Chart

    The cells in G2:AK2 are actually date cells with values in them that are like 1/1/2010, 1/2/2010, etc...all the way through an entire month.

    Then those cells have a custom number format in them of dd to make them appear in your format.

    With that, the dates in columns B and D are the same kinds of values and any changes I make for the month of January highlight the boxes accordingly.

    If you open my sample sheet and make changes within the month showing, it does work.

    You'll have to show me your attempts at the same things in your workbook.
