    Y-Axis Text Label

I cannot figure out how to label the y-axis in the attached workbook as a text label. In column b, i have values that correspond to column c and how I would like to label the y-axis. I have dabbled a little bit with the xy chart labels add-in, but still can't figure it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Re: Y-Axis Text Label

    Hello,

if the rating is a non-numeric value, then the column chart is not the right chart type. Rather use a line chart with data markers and remove the line.

Then, add a new data series, move it to the secondary axis and change it to a xy Scatter chart. Put the X values to all zeros and the Y values to 1 to 5. Then use the XY Chart Labeler to assign the labels to that data series, and remove the Y axis labels.

    see attached.

Thanks- This worked. Is there no way to do this for a bar chart?

A bar or column chart is the wrong type of chart for this data.
