    macros to run graphs

    Hi,

I'm quite inexperienced with macros so was hoping i could get some help.

I need to set up a macros that will automatically run graphs for me. The reason i want to do it with a macros is because the number of dates will always change so i'd have to go into each graph and manually change the range it's looking at. Is this possible? I've attached a spreadsheet with what i want the final outcome to look like. The graphs will pull from the 'Workings' tab.

    Thanks,
    John

    Hi jtd84,

I believe you need more help than just "setting up a macro". Find the attached where I've changed your data on a TableData sheet.

Excel was born to work with Tables of Data. That means similar data goes into the same column. I've "fixed" your data so it now has columns of:
    1. Manager
    2. Customer
    3. Date
    4. Volume
Now that the data is in this format you can easily sort and filter your data using Excel Tables. They also now easily fit into Pivot Tables and Pivot Charts.
With your data like this you can EASILY graph by Manager, Customer, Date or Volume.
As more data added (on the bottom of the the TableData sheet) it can be included in the table or graphs.

See the TableData sheet and how it allows Excel to give you the answers you want - without a macro.
