create today date line in excel gantt chart

I would like to create a Today Line that will start from the to column date right down to the last entry of the activities..

How do i create this line. Do i again use conditional formatting?

You have column headers with dates in steps of 7 days. Where do you expect to see a "date line"?

You can use conditional formatting to highlight a column if it is between two dates, e.g. between today() and today()-7 or between today() and today()+7

Your data does not readily present where to put the highlight. Please clarify.

Hi

Apologies for not being clear. I would like a today date line (e.g. line in MS projects) to show todays date in the project plan. This will then highlight todays date and also sub-tasks that are behind (not completed).
