    dynamic chart series

    Hi,

This is easy to understand and hopefully easy to do. I have a chart of dates in the x axis and points on the y axis. Unfortunately there is no fixed range of dates and no fixed number of series (hence dynamic).

I know how to create dynamic ranges using names using offsets. But this requires me to know beforehand how many series there are so that i create 1 name per series and then setting the data range to the name.

any idea how to create a chart that will automatically create a new series when a new column suddenly has data values? if this requires vba or macros, can this be moved to that section?

    thanks,

    helpplease

    hi,

Can you please upload a sample workbook to provide more context?

You will find an number of dynamic charting examples on Jon Peltier's site, in particular: http://peltiertech.com/Excel/Charts/Dynamics.html
