    Re: Horizontal Axis Differential Formatting

I can colour code the names in the combined table to show which group they originated from. That is what I am trying to do in the chart which is derived from the combined table.
Not sure I have a complete understanding, but it sounds as of you only need to format the fill color of the bars to match the assigned group color.

Perhaps if you upload a sample workbook we can better understand.

Sorry about unclear explanations - I've attached a sample chart. I need to colour code the names of the sales persons on the horizonatal axis which are intermixed from the two different groups.i.e. the top and the bottom and three in the middle could be from goup A and the rest from Group B

It would be better if your workbook contained an actual table of values. However, see if the attached is what you intended. I deleted your original chart and created a mock up to simulate what I understand you wanted regarding differentiation of salesmen to the product group.

If the chart isn't correct, edit your previous post to provide a workbook with the values for the series.

    Re: Horizontal Axis Differential Formatting

I have two groups of sales persons I need to show on one bar chart, from most sales to least. Is there any way to colour code or differentiate the sales persons to show which group they are from?
Well, I meant that you should provide YOUR original data and structure, not modify what I mocked up.

If the mod you made to my example reflects your real workbook then it is not possible to distinguish them when you have sales people belonging to both product groups. Each group would need to be in a separate series as I showed.

The way I modified your mock up is an accurate reflection of what I'm trying to achieve. Thanks for your help, I didn't realise that what I was trying to do was impossible.
