Talking scale on a stacked column chart

    Hello,

On the 'sheet 3' tab in the file I've attached, you will see that I'm trying to create a stacked bar chart which shows the number of vials sold per day, in a size by size breakdown (these being the different pieces of the stacked column.

The problem I have, is that the chart wizard for some reason treats my values as percentages along the y-axis. Even when I change the 'number' to 'number' or 'general' it displays every day along the x-axis as having a total value of '1'.

If there are 565 vials sold in a given day, including all of the sizes, I want the column to show all of the cumulative vial sizes, with the total column adding to 565. For scale, I would like 1 as a minimum and 1000 as a maximum number of vials.

I tried searching here:http://www.andypope.info/charts/StackColTotal.htm, but his examples do not behave the same way mine do.

    I appreciate your help.

Re: scale on a stacked column chart

Your chart is showing percentages because the chart type is 100% Stacked Column. Change the chart type to Stacked Column and format the y axis maximum and minimum to the values you want.
