    charting horizontal axis/independent variable

I'd like to plot observed fluid volumes (vertical axis/dependent variable) against observation time, measured in hours and tenths, from a starting time (t=0). So far, what results is the X values being shown as separate observations (1-15), rather than when they occurred. Is there any way to allow the horizontal axis variable to vary continuously?

    Hi,

your X axis is probably set to show categories instead of a time scale. Assuming that you are currently using a line chart, format the x axis and set it to "Date axis" in the Axis Options, or change the chart type to "XY Scatter chart", which should by default use a time line for date values.
