    change all data labels

    Hi all,

I have created a scatter chart that has 29 labels on. Is there a way i can select all of them and format them all at once (using 2007)??? I am having to select one at a time at the mo and i could be here for some time.

    Thanks.

    Re: change all data labels

You can only format all data labels within the same series at the same time.

Do you have multiple series? If so did you use multiple series in order to display Series name in the data label?

Without changing your chart VBA is the only quick way.

If you use this free add-in,
    http://www.appspro.com/Utilities/ChartLabeler.htm

you can link data labels to cells, which will allow you to use a single series and format all labels at once.

    change all data labels

    Hi,

I am bringing this thread back to life because i have a similar problem as solved above.

I have a pivot table with a chart based based on it. one of the filters is to filter by product which changes the number of data series.

When i format a series with it is ok as far as that series stays on the chart. If it drops off, the next time it comes back into view it has lost all it's formatting??

really annoying. is it possible to maintain formatting for all possible series???

    Many Thanks.

If you are using PChart you will need to use code to reapply any formatting or cell linking.
