Keep the trendline, but hide the data?

Just wondering - is there a quick workaround in Excel 2007 to keep the trendline and make the chart scale optimized for the trendline, while hiding the underlying data and ignoring its data range.

For example, original data series may have some values which are unusually higher or lower than the typical deviation, which would put the automatic scale off, but if you use a trendline, lets say a Moving Average, it will smoothen the range. Well, right, this could be solved by manually setting the range. But how do you hide the original data? Is there a quick fix for this?

    Thanks.

To hide the data just set the line style to None with no markers.
This will require you to still manually set the axis min/max

Only other option is to calculate the trendline within the worksheet and plot those values instead.

Thats an option. But the labels will be a mess then. You can change the colour of label text and line to white, but it will still take the place. I guess calculating another series, and plotting these values is a better option. Thanks for advise!

Why white? Why not no colour.

Can you post example of what you have tried?

Right, I forgot you can delete the legends selectively for each data series. What I meant before was that lines and markers can be changed to "no colour", but the fonts of the legend can not. But since you can simply delete them - it is not a problem anymore Thanks!
