    Graphing months in line charts

    Hello,

I need help with graphing months in line charts. I would like to have my three values for months in the OSA 30,000 and OSA 40,000 sheets spaced properly in the line chart. If anyone can help me out I would greatly appreciate it.

    Hi,

One way would be to use a helper column D. In D1:D3 put proper dates which are 12 and 1 months apart, e.g. 1 Jan 2008, 1 Jan 2009, 1 Feb 2009.

Now use D1:D3 as the x axis category labels, and to avoid the month names showing, format the x axis and in the 'Tick Mark labels' set of options select 'None'

You need to use a scatter plot. A line graph spaces the values on the X axis equally and is really meant for categories. Right click to change the chart type.
