graphing a group of numbers help.

Hello
I am trying to make a graph of a list of number codes. Basically each xx-xx # represents a type of equipment. I would like to do a graph showing which type and the number of times it occurs in the sheet.
for example the 09-20 occurs 2 times, 11-10 occurs 3 times, 12-20 occurs 2 times. Probably a bar or pie graph is the best way to show this. I am trying to see how many of each peice of equipment has been rented so I can evaluate what equipment is rented so often that it would justify us purchasing. Select the range..
Go to Insert tab
select pivot chart and follow the instruction

First, I use Advanced Filter to copy Unique value to another column. Then I use CountIf to count how many times the item to be rented. Then, I make a column chart to modify the max 10 items.

I am messing with it but not having a lot of luck. All i need it to do is show each different Equipment type # along the horizontal axis and #of occurances along the vertical. What am I doing wrong? thanks

now what if i would like to name the Equipment types on the chart. Ex 60-70 (Light Plants) 60-60 (genset 20-30kw) etc. Thanks
