How to set up a multi category & multi year chart

I am only slightly educated in making charts in Excell however I have managed to make all the pie charts & bar graphs I needed this week except for one.

The data is revenue by category, say 6 categories.. but it is also comparative by 3 years. What I ended up with is the 3 years showing up in their own groups with the categories split out. So its 2007, Category 1,2,3 then to the right is 2008, Category 1,2,3

    I Need them to line up as Category 1, 2007, 2008, 2009, Category 2, 2007,2008,2009 etc.

I cant figure out how to get it to do this.

    Welcome to the Forum

This isn't an answer (I'm off to bed now) but may provide enough guidance.

Have a look at the below link - there are heaps of examples & explanations...

Multi level labels is all a matter of data layout.

    First column is categories
    Second column Years
    Third column data
