Dates on a graph

Hi,

I have a year's worth of data and I'm trying to split the X axis into quarters of the year. When I look at the scale it gives me a number which corresponds to dates but don't really understand how this numbering relates to the dates. My dates are in the month/year format.

So I want on the x-axis



Q1 Q2 Q3 Q4

Any help is appreciated!!
