    Timeline Chart Problem

    Hi All

Could anyone help me with a charting problem.

I need to produce a chart showing temperatures and the date and time that this temperature was recorded.

The problem is the dates and times. The temperature is recorded every minute. 05 May 2009 09:24:00:000 is the (general) format.

How do I use this date/time format to produce the y axis with one date label showing for each day, and each day split into 24 hour intervals.

    Many thanks

Hope someone can help or point me in the right direction.

This is just a part of the data. The process could go on for days.

    Re: Timeline Chart Problem

You need to use an xy-scatter chart.

You will need to add the series using the Source data dialog as you x/y values are the reverse of what the chart would normally expect. Which is 1st column of shared X values remain columns unique Y values.
