How to avoid plotting blanks as zeroes...

    Good morning!

I apologize if this a recurring question...

I am trying to keep Excel from plotting zeroes for a cell that contains a formula, the result of which is a blank cell. Currently, it plots it as zero (as im sure you know). How can I get around this?

Thank you in advance for your help...sorry if it's a "noob" question...

    Paul

Right click plot area|select data source|click Hidden and Empty Cells|select something other than Zeros.

You will need to make your formula return #N/A for those where no value should be displayed.

This will stop the chart treating the cells text as zero. It will surpress data markers.

It will not however force a break in a line.
    Cheers
