how do you chart data by dates and omit dates

    Hi,

I have a column of dates corresponding to the days of the month (e.g. 7/1/08, 7/2/08, 7/3/08) and a column of data points (e.g. 0.9, 1.2, 0.8). The problem I am having is that I don't have any data on some days (the cells are left empty). Is there anyway to plot the chart so that any dates that have no values associated with them are omitted from the chart?

    Thanks.

Change the axis from Automatic or Time series to category.

    Depending on version
2007 - select axis, right click pick format axis. Set Axis type to Text

2003 - right click and pick Chart Options. On Axes tab set X axis to category.
    Cheers
