    Editing text in ORG. CHART

I created an ORG. CHART in EXCEL 2010 years ago. I want to edit text in a text box. I read somewhere to R-click the box & select EDIT TEXT. When I do that, I get a menu which does not include EDIT TEXT. Actually, it would appear that I cannot R-click (or select) a text box. I can only R-click (or select) the OBJECT which contains text boxes (the R-click Menu which appears is evidently for the OBJECT). I cannot remember how I created the ORG. CHART. However, when I select an OBJECT (there are 3 OBJECTS),
the fx =EMBED("OrgChart",""). I am able to create a new TEXT BOX but I cannot delete the existing TEXT BOX. Anyway, I need to edit text within text boxes. Thanks for HELP.

Re: Editing text in ORG. CHART

Try double clicking on the object instead of right click.

If that does not work, attach a sample of your workbook so we don't have to try and replicate the work you have already done. Remember to remove/replace any sensitive data before uploading.

If you attach a sample of your workbook it will be easier to find a solution. Remember to remove/replace sensitive data before uploading the file. Look here if you need help with attachments:

    Inheritance.xlsx

Double-clicking the object gives the following message: CANNOT START THE SOURCE APPLICATION FOR THIS OBJECT. My worksheet is attached. Thanks.

BTW, I never received an e-mail telling me I had a reply to my post!

Re: Editing text in ORG. CHART

I figured this thing out. You right-click on an embedded object in your Organization Chart (which resides in an EXCEL work-sheet). In the resulting menu, click on ORGANIZATION CHART OBJECT , then CONVERT. This yields a CONVERT dialog box. Select ACTIVATE AS & hit OK. This opens the ORG. CHART ADD-IN & allows all editing.

I hope this helps other users of the ORG. CHART ADD-IN.
