    bar chart + display data question

    Hi there,

    I am working on a bar chart template to perform a side-by-side analysis. In such an analysis I show data (in this case 18 rows and 3 columns). The data is shown in regular worksheet rows. I now want to correspond the height of each of the 18 bars with the data in the worksheet rows.

    I really don't know how to do this? Any help is much appreciated!

    I will attach the file for illustration purposes.

    thanks in advance!

    Can you explain a little more about how you want your chart to look.

    You say Side by Side but the chart is currently showing values stacked.
    Cheers

    i want the data next to the 100% stacked bar chart to correspond with the bars themselves (the reader of the chart now knows that e.g. the upper row of the data is related to the upper bar of the chart).

    It should look like this:

    Item #1 50 100 150 ////// -> represents the upper 100% stacked bar
    Item #2 60 110 160 ///////// -> represents the 2nd 100% stacked bar

    etc etc

    Select the category axis, vertical one, and on the Scale tab of the Format dialog set,
    Catergories in Reverse Order
    Value (Y) axis crosses at Maximum.
