    Chart colors/format automatically changes!!!

Excel seems to be automatically resetting the colors in my chart when I open the workbook. This is very frustrating because I have not been able to find anything on the web on correcting this problem. The source data that is being referenced to in the chart is in a dynamic range that gets populated with new data lines daily so I'm thinking this is part of the problem. However, I don't know how to keep the chart from changing colors and this can take up valuable time when this occurs.

    Please help!

In Excel 2003 when I double click a series and change the colour from automatic to a specific colour it works fine. What version of Excel are you using?

If you attach a sample of your workbook it will be easier to find a solution. Remember to remove/replace sensitive data before uploading the file. Look here if you need help with attachments:

I am using Excel 2003 as well but I think my problem is that the chart is referencing a dynamic range. This dynamic range has a new row entered on a daily basis and what appears to be happening is that each day when new data is entered and recalculated the chart color pattern changes to "Automatic". The pattern of the chart does not change if I reference a non-dynamic range so I assume this is the cause. I am still researching this problem to find out how to keep the chart pattern on "custom" rather than "automatic".
