    Scaling the x-axis

    Hi,
    I have a quick graphing assignment due tomorrow. It's to show that we have base-level competency with Excel. The graph I turn in needs to look exactly as it does below:

    Mine looks like this:

    In order to make the graph lines start and end where they should on the teacher's copy, I had to add cells to the "days" column to extend the x-axis. I can't figure out how to adjust the scale on the x-axis to start at zero and end at 16 without messing with the day/cats/mice columns. When I try to adjust the scale it gives me this:

    Hi MechE10

    It seems you defined the type of the chart as Line when you should have defined it as XY(Scart).

    Change the chart type and you'll be able to re-scale the X-Axis.
