    How to update Charts data table programmaticly

    How can I update a chart with only one manually data entry ? Let say that 3 sheets;

    1.- Weekly report containing data to be plotted.
    2.- Sheet containing charTable historical data and new weekly data programmatically entered in the last row of table.
    3.- Chart sheet

    In another words I want to enter data manually only ones (in the weeklyReport) and move the data programmatically (all sheets are in the same workbook) to the rest of the report ( chartTable) and chat sheet.

    I attached a sample of my problem.

    Or if you guys have any other structure to do this report, I’m open for suggestions. The main focus is enter data only time, update chart table and plot data automatically to chart.

    I want to thanks in advance for the replays of this posting.

    Oldchippy, Thanks for the replay. This is what I’m trying to accomplish; When I manually update the Weekly report, in the last entry may be in the lost focus trigger a code that will insert a row and copy the data(last entry) in to the Chart data table (below the last data entry). The chart table will be fixed to plot the inserted data (I plotted 2 extra rows, so inserting a row in the last entry will be inside the plotted area for the chart). The key is in the last manually entered data. I’m trying to save two steps a) copy data from the Weekly report to the Chart table and replot the chart (that I already figured it out by plotting two extra rows) So Again the main focus is the last manually entry.

    The example that you posted does plot automatically the data, but it doesn’t automatically move the data to the plotted data table. When I insert a new date and data point the chart doesn’t reflect that change.

    Hi there,

    Take a look at the attached workbook.

    I've modified your workbook to show an "Update Graph" button on the data entry worksheet. Clicking on this copies the date & the values of the weekly data to the end of the data table for the graph. Whenever data are added to the data table the graph display updates automatically, but please note that there should be no blank rows WITHIN the data table.

    Hope this helps - please let me know how you get on.

    Best regards,

    Greg M
