Removing Gridlines from 3D Column Chart Walls

    I think I've tried this a million times now, and clearing the vertical lines also clears the lines on the floor (and i really want them to be black on the floor to show the grid).

    Could there be some settings that allow you to better manipulate the chart? or maybe a different version of excel? - I'm using 2003.

    I'm using 2003 as well, the only other thing I can come up with is a bit of a workaround fiddle. If you drawing a rectangle from the Drawing Toolbar and format that with no border and a white fill and carefully place over each vertical line.

    It gets the result you want but, probably not what you really want to do though?

    Haha, I just tried that same thing yesterday. But, no it doesn't really work because I've written a macro to make the chart based on data with varying size grids. So I haven't really wanted to take the time to figure out some sort of algorithm for sizing the rectangles each time.
