    line chart

Can anyone help me, I am trying to create a line chart that contains five years worth of water sample numbers. I need to chart all five years in one chart, all five years on top of each other. The problem is that the dates that the water samples were taken vary slightly each year. I would like my horizontal axis to read as follows: 5-Jan, 15-Jan, 30-Jan, 5-Feb, 15-Feb, ect. The problem is, although I can get the horizontal axis to be a time-scale resembling what I want, every time I add more than one year to the chart everything goes haywire. The problem is that each year the water sample was taken, it was taken on a different day as the other years and the number of samples for a month varies from year to year. Is there anyway this can be done?

    thx,

You might try recording a macro while you are manually manipulating the scale and then re-running this after you have added the new year's data.
