Trending/forecasting

Hello,

I have not used trend lines in charts before and having some difficulty.

I have a spreadsheet to track the $ spent by each project manager per month. I'm comparing year over year/month over month $ and would like to trend/forecast the remaining year - to see how it may pan out.

However, when I insert a trend line, the line heads down to the 0 for April onward when it should head upwards. What am I doing wrong?

I am attaching an example.
