Crystal Xcelsius - Design suggestion

If you know Xcelsius and know how to design charts in clever ways. I need a suggestion.
Have a look at this link. The Excel logic is there but the design is terrible. You can test to change the numbers and see the graf move.
I'm looking for something like Andy Pope's Charts with variable width bars.

Any suggestions?
