Dashboard sort of thing displaying different charts

At the outset, let me introduce myself as a new member here and it is nice to be here....My regards to all respected members here.....

I am not a very advanced excel user...not in terms of pivot table or writing macros etc.....but if guided suitably....can give effect to your kind guidance...

    I use Excel 2003.

I want to maintain a dashboard that will reflect monthwise (Jan-Dec) Scorecard of about 6 or 7 Parameters for 3 Zones & total thereof

Sample database file is attached. I am so anxious as to how I can make a dashboard that will indicate charts for all parameters in a single window with YELLOW, GREEN & RED Color Bars depending on condition such that,
    95 - 100 % achievement = GREEN
    85- 95 % = YELLOW
    BELOW 85 = RED

Sorry friends, if I am asking for 2 much....but believe me I would be obliged for my life if you guide me on this path of learning....which is never late...

    My humble regards.......Jack

    Hi,

perhaps as per the attached, but you will need to keep better figures or get used to Red.

Another alternate is a TileChart, the instructions to make one are attched.

Let me know how you go,

    Dear Bryan Hessey....
My Regards for your prompt response Sir.........

Perhaps may be I am not able to communicate my point...

From the sample database, I want to create

    1. A Dashboard ( with multiple charts each for separate parameter )
    2. All those charts should get automatically updated whenever data is changed every month
    3. Chart (Bar or Pie or Lines whatever) color should change to YELLOW, GREEN OR RED, as per the percent achievement,
4.Cumulative effect of all parameters should get added upto to Total Chart
on the same dashboard (or window)

I had seen somewhere a dashboard sort of thing, image file attached.

Thanks a million and warm regards.........jack

    Hi,

in Tools, Options, View, untick Gridlines for your view.

then select enough cells and Rightmouse, Format, and Patter, set to gray.

This will set a gray (or other colour) background for you.

For the numbers, think of using columns AA onwards, so that they are mot in view.

    Good luck with this

    Thanks for the Tips Bryen.....
That is pretty cool.........I used it just !!!

My main purpose of coming here is to learn making a Dash Board that captures, displays Score card details (Performance Measurement against benchmarks) and this does not look like an easy task ( like using some readymade template, punch in data and see the graph displaying comparative analysis against given parameters) So learning excel a bit more, before I trouble guys here for further guidance....It is nice to be here....and thank you once again....Warm Regards........Jack

    Jack,

this is the Charts forum, and correct for your chart question, there is also a Programmer forum, and a few people who visit there are already pulling figures from the web, generally using OnTime as the time trigger for the figure collection.

If you search the Programmer forum you may fine something useful for your needs.

Once you have the figures, then setting the various charts to the figures and variations becomes a little easier with each chart.

Don't hesitate to post any problem you come up against (it doesn't mean anyone will answer, but you never know your luck)

    Have a good holiday.
