    Retrieve original field name

    Hello,

I am currently working on a bunch of pivot tables where many of the fields have changed names (like Sum of Expenses has become ExpTotal).

How can I retrieve the original name of the fields, so I can match them/look them up in/to the source data?

May need more info? But if you 'Refresh All' on the pivot table, all the names will be updated

    Hi queuesef,

If I "Refresh All" the customized names persist.
    Sorry, can't share the files.

    Re: Retrieve original field name

    ThnX queuesef,

    That was a useful suggestion.

Running the code made it clear to me that it was not a customized field, so I looked a bit deeper and found it as a calculated field.
Hence I could not find it in the source data.

So, problem solved, thanks to your help.

After looking left and right and up and down the pivot features, here it was!!! Right in the Value Field Settings... Not very obvious though because our eyes go straight to the highlighted box LOL Attachment 888490
