    Accessing restricted pivot table

Hello, I am new here, so not sure if I am writing into the correct forum.

So, the situation is, that my line manager left the company simultaneously.
He used to share to us an excel file, with pivot table. Well, some of the colleagues are not fluent in excel, so dont know there is a sensitive information there. He used to save the file with the pivot table by deleting the main data. But even after deleting the data, you could open it, by double clicking into the pivot table.
Before he left, he might have made some changes, so I can no longer access the data from the pivot table of all files...
When I double click at any cell from the pivot table, the following error appears "we can't change this part of the pivot table". Trying to access the options of the pivot table, another error appears "the pivot table report was saved without the underlying data". In this case, the data from the pivot table is restricted and we can no longer access it..

Please help me how to access that hidden/restricted data.

    Thanks in advance!
