Hovering over chart plot area only displays "Point"

    Hello All,

I have a chart that is showing the correct data. However, when I put my mouse over a specific point, instead of giving me the value for that point, it's saying "Series Point..." How can I get it to display the actual value at that "Point"? I've attached a sample of my workbook.

    Thanks in advance

    That's how area charts function.

You could add another series, with the same values, and plot as a line or column and use that series to relay the information in tooltip.
If you use a column chart set the gap to zero and the fill to none.

This is very interesting. Thank you for the response. Can you maybe explain just a little how to change gaps in charts? I know how to change it to a bar chart... but the editing I'm not sure of... Thanks again!

Double click the column series to bring up the Format Series task pane

Within the Series Options adjust the Gap Width to zero
