I'm looking for reassurance that when I send my workbook which contains conditional formatting in a pivot table and my own formatted charts to other users, the formatting will remain in place.
Do I need to do anything to safeguard the formatting?

Conditional formatting is defined in your workbook, so it should all remain intact.
