    Formula to replace pivot table in Excel 2019

    Hi experts,

    I have the following data and wishes to use a formula to replace pivot table. I googled that I can use the function Unique to do but as my version of excel is 2019, it don't allow me to use this function. Is there any other way? Thanks.

    I suggest you read up on Excel Tables. There are many good reasons for using them. Take a look at the formulas in Column J. Using header names is one reason. Also as you add data, the formula will not have to change. Tables "know" how big they are.

    Thanks for replying. Sorry for not making myself clear. What I'm asking is if there's any other way to get the unique values of the numbers in Column I without the use of pivot table? Thanks.
