Hello, this is my first time posting. I work in the maintenance department and I am trying to create a pivot chat/table that will show trending temperatures for some of the motors & gearboxes on our equipment. I have made a small mock workbook showing kind of what I'm looking for. The first sheet has the pivot chat & table and the following sheets house the data. Our equipment is split up into groups we call lines. Each line has multiple pieces of equipment that we take temperature readings of the motors & gearboxes. We record the date, equipment, whether motor or gearbox, and the temp reading. I have been able to get some of the functionality we want with the pivot chart but not all of it. I am trying to make it so we have an overview of the line and then if we see one of the pieces of equipment trending hot we can isolate that one on the chart. I know the equipment can be selected & unselected with the check boxes on the right, however that creates some additional issues. When they are added back in they are no longer in sequence, they default to showing sums for each month rather than the average, and the column name changes to "sum of equip 1". I hope this explanation along with the mock file is clear, if not please let me know and I will try to clarify.
