Removing duplicate values from horizontal axis in a Line Chart

Hi all,

I am trying to plot a Hedge-Funds volatility over a timeperiod of 1995 to 2012 on a monthly basis - meaning that there are 12 values from 1995, 12 values from 1996 etc...
The years appear in the horizontal axis each time they are "mentioned" in the volatility data, and I want to remove all the duplicates such that each year is only listed once.

This might be a quick fix but it's been a long day so I am struggling to figure this out.

Change 'specify internal unit' in properties of axis.
