Link Colour Scheme for Multiple Charts

    Hi all,

I'm trying to find a way to link colour schemes for 2 charts referencing the same tab for each series but so far no luck, I only found VBA options but that's not for me.

I have 2 charts, and all I would like to do is link the bar/line colours to each tab/dataset so that they both have the same colours.

I didnt think it would be hard to do but so far no good!

    Any ideas?

    Kind regards,
    Jim

The colours should match of a given series so I assume your issue is more complicated.
Is it more a case of the name of each series should match colour and the order of that name is not the same? If so unless you reorder the data to be inconsistent you will need VBA to set series colour

Re: Link Colour Scheme for Multiple Charts

    Hi,

Sorry I didnt really explain myself very well, this is for betting results tracking.

I have one chart that tracks results as a line chart, and another that that tracks bet volume as a bar chart.

I was hoping there was an easy way to link the colour schemes of these two charts so that the lines are the same colour as the bars for each strategy that is being recorded?

Unless you change the colours they will be in sync.

If you have changed the colours then you could create a chart template. First create a chart with enough series, format each series as require and then right click chart and save as template.

You can then apply that template to the other chart. It will change the colours but also the chart type, so you will need to change that but the colours should be retained.
Or create 2 templates, 1 for each chart type.
