    Chart Update

    When I create a chart and have that chart as an object on the sheet I'm able to click on the chart which then highlights the data on the spread sheet so that I can easily expand the area the chart covers. Blue boxes appear around the data in the chart.
    However, when the chart is moved to its own sheet when I click on the chart I don't get the blue boxes on the sheet with the data.
    So I move the chart back onto the sheet with the data, click on the chart and the boxes appear, expand the area around the data to be charted and then move the chart back to its own sheet.
    How can I avoid moving the chart back and forth.
    I want to click on the chart on its own sheet and then have the data highlighted (blue boxes) on the data sheet so I can easily expand the data to be charted?

    That will not happen if the chart is on different sheets to the data.

    You can use the Select data dialog and then for each series change the data/label ranges.
    You will not get the bounding handles but you can select the cells, or edit the formula range

    I do that but it is a PITA; easier just to move the chart back into the sheet where all the columns are highlighted rather than going thru the process of series change where one has to select date, headings, columns, etc. Ought to be an easier way!
