Setting up a pivotchart with dates that are not equally spaced apart

I am creating a Pivotchart where the horizonal axis consists of dates and the vertical axis consists of rates. The dates are not necessarily at the same interval. For example, we may have data for June 1, 2019, then from June 3, 2019, then nothing until June 25, 2019. However, when I create the chart, these dates show as equidistant apart. i.e. the gap between June 1 and June 3 is equal to the gap between June 3 and June 25. Is there a way to make the gaps proportional to the actual number of days between the dates?

As reddit commenter noted, this is not possible in a pivot chart. This would work just fine in a regular chart using the built in date axis, but a pivot chart cannot use a date axis.
