How to copy and paste a pivot table (with slicer) to a new workbook, ommitting data source

I created a pivot table using proprietary data and also added in a slicer. The data was exported from software at work and plugged into a macro (which I did not write).

My goal is to give the pivot table to a client in the form of a new workbook, but they can only see the pivot table with its slicer, not the original data source or the macro code.

    Is this possible?

    Hi Sean,

You can copy and paste the Pivot Table Data using "Values Only" and format the cells to look like a Pivot. This will make the Slicer useless. I think you are asking for some privacy that won't be accomplishable.

I do wonder about making a sheet "Very Private" and also putting the Macro behind a password.

I'm not sure either of the above will completely insure privacy as there are sites that claim they can break protection on all Excel files.

Save your original workbook as copy but with xlsx extension it will remove any vba code
Change source of PivotTable in this copy to dummy data

not enough information to say something more
