Pivot Table Show Details has stopped working

I have used show details on pivot tables for years but all of the sudden it has stopped working and now when I double click on a total or right click "show details" I get hundreds more records than the number shown. I have been into Pivot table Options and disabled "show details" and tried again then I have re-enabled and tried again but the same happens. Am at a total loss.
