I have 1 set of data. I need a piviot table with a subtotal within a subtotal. I have just been copying and pasting for years and want to know if this is the only way. This has private information on it and I can't hand the book to anyone. I took screenshots though hopefully they help?
I have this data sorted by employee name.

How I want it to be:
Totaled per department, by full name, by earning code. then below all the employees within the departments I want a total of all the earning codes by department.
I currently am taking the first pivot table and pasting in a report tab. then taking the second pivot table and pasting within that report. I have to do this for every pay period. Is there a way to in put the subtotals from the second pivot chart into the first pivot chart so I don't have to do this. It is also for 4 different facilities. UGH!
