Creating min, max and avg connected by line chart in excel

Hello, I want the y axis to show my different levels of rate while the x axis shows the rates. I have rates for each level showing min, max and average. On the graph I would like the min, max and avg to be plotted and connected by a line for each rate type. I have attached my data and an example. Please let me know if you have any questions. I have been struggling with this. Thank you.

    Hi miski,

This reminds me of a Candlestick or High-Low-Close chart that are standard in Excel. See the attached which gets close to what you want.

Click on my chart and then on the tab called "Chart Tools", then on the "Design Tab" and finally on "Switch Row/Column"

Re: Creating min, max and avg connected by line chart in excel

I don't know that Excel has a simple built in option for creating this chart with the text categories on the vertical axis and the numerical values on the horizontal axis. Something like MarvinP's candlestick chart is probably the closest built in option Excel has.

Candlestick charts (especially when they include 1st and 3rd quartile data) are essentially box and whisker diagrams, which are relatively easy to create as stacked bar or column charts. With that in mind, I would suggest this tutorial that talks about building box and whisker diagrams as stacked bar charts: https://peltiertech.com/excel-box-an...ams-box-plots/

Your chart also looks like a dot plot, which is also relatively easy to create in Excel as a bar + xy scatter combination chart. This tutorial walks through the steps: https://peltiertech.com/Excel/Charts/DotPlot.html

If you must have text categories on the vertical axis and number values on the horizontal axis, I would look at one of those two approaches.

I wasn't able to create exactly what I wanted but created something very similar thanks to everyone's help. Thanks again.
