Three historical graphs next to each other

    Dear All

I need assistance to draw a graph showing three groups of data (product types, sales and rank) for each group but shown next to each other. I am restricted by size to be not more than half a page or preferably one-third of an A4 Page. The graphs are for each region and I would like to place three graphs on a page for the three regions I am graphing.

I have provided a sample data (attached).

    I need your assistance urgently.

    Many thanks in advance.

I have noticed that you often come here requiring 'urgent' assistance. Please remember that those who help here do so voluntarily and of their own goodwill. They live in many different time zones and many will be out at work right now if they are not asleep on the other side of the globe. This is not a paid 'service': members will help when they are ready and able to do so, and not 'on demand'. Please do not try to put pressure of time on anyone here: if you get the help you need today, that's fine, but you really should not count on it. Thanks for your understanding and patience.

I am not sure what chart type you are looking for. As a guess, it almost sounds like you want a panel chart, where each quantity shows up in a different panel. Jon Peltier has three panel chart tutorials here: https://peltiertech.com/Excel/Charts/ChartIndex.html#P that show 3 different panel charts. Would that work?

    Hi

Thanks for your prompt reply. I appreciate it.

The Panel Chart with horizontal separation is what I need. But I don't have any experience creating such chart.

Could you please assist me with my sample data into that panel chart?

or could you please share with me an Excel example of this type of chart so that I can adapt it to my work?

Going through materials in the Website you have kindly referred me to takes time and is not of an immediate help to me.

    Many thanks in advance,

    Simon

Re: Three historical graphs next to each other

I am sure I can help with the process, but I am not experienced at making them, so I would just be following the tutorial as well. I think it would be preferable for you to work through the tutorial and request help for the parts you get stuck on.

If you want a sample file to work with, this similar tutorial has a sample file associated with it (near the bottom of the page at the end of the tutorial): http://www.contextures.com/excelpanelchart.html These guys use a pivot table to summarize data, then copy the pivot table into the source range for the panel chart. Perhaps that will be helpful.

If you are looking for someone to do this for you, you might want to consider ousting in the Commercial Services section, where you can offer an incentive (payment) for that assistance.

Re: Three historical graphs next to each other

Thank you Mr Shorty. I appreciate your helpful and positive responses and pointers to the tutorials on the topic of my query.

I have managed to produce my graphs, the so called vertical panel. However, I have created separate graphs stacked on top of each other.
Then I grouped them all for moving them around on the page. It has worked well based on what I have planned. Nevertheless, I will go through tutorials to learn how they can be done as an all-in-one solution when there is more time available to me. I will consult with you, and the forum, if any difficulties to get through.

Once again many thanks. People like you are getting this forum going with a good reputation. I believe, this is one of the best forums in the Internet.

    Best Regards
    S.
